Beautify LA

A mural series created in partnership with Watts Allstars to bring professionally executed public art to selected locations throughout Watts. The series celebrates the legacy of excellence rooted in the community while honoring the resilience, beauty, and spirit of its people.

Each mural is fully funded through grant and community support, with no cost to participating host sites. Murals are executed by Los Angeles native artist, GaKnew Roxwel, and carry an estimated professional value of $2,000–$5,000.

Beautify LA is currently identifying community-facing walls in Watts. Host locations provide:

• Exterior wall access
• Permission for long-term display
• Access during installation

Walls are selected based on visibility, condition, and alignment with the project’s vision.
